Hello, Looking for a simple C++ GUI package that meets the need of the simplest and smallest GUI projects and is platform agnostic (Windows and Mac support) I am looking for a simple GUI framework to use in my C++ project that would be cross platform and much much simpler than Qt. Excel for mac decision tree template free. You see I only need a very simple UI, one screen 4 buttons a couple fields at the top and at the bottom and that's it. I have been told to look at Qt but let's be honest for what I need to do that would be like using a destruction hammer to crack a small nut. ![]() XProtect Explained: How Your Mac’s Built-in Anti-malware Software Works. Chris Hoffman @chrisbhoffman May 18, 2015, 4:04am EDT. Chrome support for mac. The built-in anti-malware protection on Mac OS X is known as “XProtect,” which is technically a feature built into “File Quarantine.”. Connect the USB drive to the Mac and launch Disk Utility, then select that USB drive from the left side drive list (be sure you select the USB drive you want to make the bootable installer from) Click on the “Erase” tab and format the drive as “Mac OS Extended (Journaled)”, then choose “Erase” and confirm. Send me you advices I am eager to learn as long as it makes sens for what I am trying to do. Deve-lopez To be very Honest to you I dont think there is any cross platform UI framework available as we speak which is simpler than Qt, Few people say Java and swing but that is heavier than Qt in many sense:) You can have look of another UI with c++ GTK but I dont think even that may be that easier and simpler than Qt though I never tried it. What I can suggest here is you can use QML (what they call is Qtquick) for your simplest UI. Hey wait a minute. If size of Qt is what you are avoiding then there is way you can get out of it just dont build Qt with hell of other module like QtWebkit (heaviest) QNetwork Opengl etc etc, You can simply build GUI module and that should solve the problem. If you need help how to build cutomized Qt just configure with -no-webkit -no-network etc have look of this You may look for the same information at qt.nokia.com website Hope this helps Irfan Omair. I know you are looking for something that creates GUI for both Mac and Windows, but for something as simple as you describe, you are trying to crack a small nut with a sledge hammer by using a single library for your GUI. ![]() The better solution would be to create a shared library for your program (same code on each platform), and create a second small program to handle the GUI (different code on each platform). The GUI programs should simply call library functions to do the work. If you had something that is more complex and requires a lot of GUI interaction, I would say it makes more sense to use something like QT, wxWidgets, etc.
